Agent 88 - Horror Found Footage

Based on an original image I created of a beating heart, the assignment was to produce a short motion design video. Instead of keeping it simple, we decided to push the exercise further by recreating the scene in 3D. This personal challenge allowed me to experiment with a distinctive halftone render, enhancing the raw and unsettling aesthetic typical of found footage horror.

For this project, we started by building a detailed storyboard: defining the number of frames per scene, how each sequence would connect, and the overall pacing. Each environment was then created separately in distinct Blender projects, making it easier to manage visual complexity. Once the sets were ready, we animated each scene in a POV perspective to heighten immersion. After exporting the scenes, we assembled all the footage in After Effects for the final editing and compositing. This was also where I worked on the sound design and SFX — an aspect I particularly enjoyed, as it added an even more visceral and unsettling layer to the final piece.
